Recently, the first industrial scale offshore wind power hydrogen production demonstration project in Asia was declared successful on the No. 31 wind turbine at Guishan Wind Farm in Zhuhai. This project combines the wisdom and strength of Professor Zheng Xiangyuan's team from Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School, as well as Shenzhen Youai Zhihe Robot Technology and other units.

The Guishan No. 31 wind turbine adopts a duct frame foundation structure and is equipped with a 3-megawatt unit, with an annual power generation of about 10 million kilowatt hours. On the wind turbine platform, the three modules of seawater desalination, mechanical electrical control, and electrolytic hydrogen production work together. The electrolytic cell has a power of 400 kilowatts and can produce 80 standard cubic meters of high-purity hydrogen per hour. After experiencing the test of Typhoon Capricorn, the hydrogen production equipment has been running stably for over 600 hours, with a total hydrogen production of 4.5 tons. It is expected that the annual hydrogen production will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1350 tons.

This project not only achieves the goal of hydrogen production from wind power, but also integrates a series of advanced technologies such as intelligent inspection robots and remote monitoring management, providing a solid guarantee for the safe operation of the project. The success of this demonstration project marks a significant breakthrough in China's offshore wind power hydrogen production engineering technology, filling the gap in related fields in Asia.
