The Southeast Africa Regional Center of CCCC First Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. recently signed design and construction contracts for two tourist roads with the Ugandan Ministry of Engineering and Transport. The project adopts the design and construction general contracting mode, and the work content includes upgrading and transforming the existing road into asphalt pavement and related ancillary works.
Two road projects are located in the Karamoja region of northeastern Uganda, which borders Kenya. Among them, the total length of the Kotido Kaban road project is 69.2 kilometers, and the total length of the Kotido Moroto road project is 96.4 kilometers. After the completion of the project, it will significantly improve the transportation infrastructure level in northeastern Uganda, and help promote local economic development and improve people's livelihoods.
