On March 28th, Chinese photovoltaic company Haijuxing announced the official shipment of the first batch of 120 single crystal growth furnaces from its Indonesian production base, marking the critical stage of equipment installation for the 3GW pulling crystal and 3GW silicon wafer projects with a total investment of over 2 billion yuan. As the first large-scale photovoltaic raw material manufacturing base in Indonesia, the project is expected to start trial production in May, and after reaching production capacity, it can meet 60% of the high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon wafer demand in the Southeast Asian market.

The base is located in West Java Province, Indonesia, and adopts an intelligent production system. The production efficiency of monocrystalline silicon rods is 30% higher than traditional processes. The chairman of Haijuxing stated that the project will drive the formation of a complete industrial chain from silicon materials, silicon wafers to components in the local area, and is expected to create 2000 job opportunities. At present, the company has established battery cell and module factories in Thailand and Laos, and the Philippines factory is about to start production. The Southeast Asian photovoltaic industry cluster is beginning to take shape.

Industry analysis indicates that with the implementation of the US Inflation Reduction Act, Chinese photovoltaic companies are accelerating the transfer of production capacity to Southeast Asia. The layout of Haijuxing not only avoids trade barriers, but also enhances the regional industrial level through technological output. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mines, after the project is put into operation, it will drive down the cost of photovoltaic modules in the country by 15% and accelerate the achievement of the target of 23% renewable energy by 2025.
