On March 25, the groundbreaking ceremony for Section B of the approach road of the second phase of the Second Niger Bridge, which is constructed by China Geo Engineering Corporation (Nigeria) Limited, was grandly held in Anambra State, Nigeria. This marks an important step forward in the construction of transportation infrastructure and regional connectivity in southeastern Nigeria. The authorized representative of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, Nigerian Minister of Works David Nweze Umahi, local traditional leaders in Nigeria, and Chen Kangle, a representative of China Geo Engineering Corporation, attended the event.

In his speech, Soludo stated that the newly launched Section B project of the approach road of the second phase aims to further improve the access to the Second Niger Bridge, give full play to its expected role, relieve the traffic congestion in Onitsha, and facilitate the transportation to Rivers State, Delta State, Abia State, Imo State, Enugu State, and Ebonyi State via Anambra State, thus boosting the economic and social development of the region.

In his speech, David fully affirmed the smooth commencement of the project, pledged strong support, and urged the communities along the route to jointly create a favorable environment for the implementation of the project. Chen Kangle expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria for its trust and support for the company's development in Nigeria. He promised that the project team would adopt a rigorous attitude, strictly adhere to the highest quality standards, and deliver the project on time.
