On May 18th,The world's highest altitude CSP power station in Tibet, Zabuye Source, Grid, Load-Storage Integrated Energy Project, which was contracted by PowerChina EPC, has been fully put into operation, which is of exemplary significance for the application of CSP technology in high-altitude areas.

Located in Zhongba County, Shigatse City, Tibet, with an altitude of 4,500 meters, Tibet Zabuye Source-Grid-Load-Storage Integrated Energy Project is the world's first pilot "Everest" project in high-altitude and grid-terminal areas, with trough CSP power station as the main power source to achieve clean energy isolated grid operation, providing safe, stable and reliable comprehensive energy supply 24 hours a day. It is EPC general contracting of Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Company, a subsidiary of China Power Construction.

The project consists of power supply (solar thermal + photovoltaic), load (electricity, steam), energy storage (heat storage + electrochemical energy storage), substation and distribution and control system, including 40 MW trough CSP power station, 35 MW photovoltaic power station, 20 MW/40 MWh electric energy storage, in line with the national "14th Five-Year Plan" new energy development direction and sustainable development policy.

After the project is put into operation, it will provide strong energy support for the development of lithium resources in the salt lake, with good energy saving, environmental protection and social benefits, and is of great significance to promoting local economic and social development.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
