A grand blueprint for clean energy at sea is slowly unfolding in the eastern sea area of Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. For the first time, the environmental impact assessment information of the Ningde Deepwater B-1 offshore wind farm project has been publicly announced, and 18 16.7 MW large-scale offshore wind turbines will be built in this blue sea area. The total investment is about 3.99 billion yuan, the total installed capacity is 300.6 megawatts, and the annual power generation is 1.1 billion kilowatt hours - this offshore wind power giant is vividly illustrating the large-scale and far-reaching development of offshore wind power in Fujian.

Eighteen giant fans

The project plans to install 18 large offshore wind turbines with a single capacity of 16.7 megawatts, with a total installed capacity of 300.6 megawatts. The generated electricity will be transported ashore through two 220 kV submarine cables, and after landing in the sea area of Jiazhu Village, Changchun Town, Xiapu County, it will be converted into a land cable and connected to the onshore centralized control center, and finally integrated into the power grid. The total planned construction period of the project is 18 months, with a total investment scale of approximately 3.99 billion yuan, and it will be constructed by Ningde Electric Investment New Energy Co., Ltd.

Annual generation of 1.1 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity

After the project is put into full capacity operation, it is expected that the annual on grid power generation will reach about 1.1 billion kilowatt hours, which is sufficient to meet the clean electricity needs of about 500000 households for one year. In the context of energy structure transformation and dual carbon goals, its emission reduction contribution is particularly prominent: it can save about 350000 tons of standard coal equivalent annually, and correspondingly reduce about 950000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This offshore wind farm will become an important force in the clean energy base along the East China coast, injecting strong green energy into the optimization of regional energy structure. Joint investment by central enterprises and local governments

The project construction unit, Ningde Electric Investment New Energy Co., Ltd., is jointly established by State Power Investment Group Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. holding 80% of the shares, Fujian Mindong Electric Power Group Co., Ltd. holding 10% of the shares, and Ningde Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd. holding 10% of the shares. It integrates the comprehensive advantages of central energy enterprises, local power leaders, and municipal investment platforms. The promotion of the Ningde Deepwater B-1 Area project is not only a simple increase in electricity consumption, but also an important practice of Fujian's deep-sea offshore wind power development technology, investment, and construction mode.
