Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority in Azerbaijan, stated in an interview that a piece of land has been provided to SunSync Sichuan and Guangtongcheng Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., the first Chinese company officially registered in the Alat Free Economic Zone, for the construction of a solar power plant within the zone. He pointed out that out of the 138 hectares of land mentioned above, 23 hectares will be used by SunSync to build solar panel production facilities.

Alaskarov stated that due to the large production scale, most of the products produced will be used for export. From the beginning, the goal was not only to enter the Azerbaijani market, but also to target the global market. Investors are advised to use the solar panels produced by this Chinese company for the roofs of facilities built within the free economic zone. In addition, the company will also participate in all tenders for the sale of solar panels within Azerbaijan.

He emphasized that after Chinese companies start producing the above-mentioned products in the free economic zone, it will be more convenient and cost-effective for companies building solar power plants to purchase solar panels locally. They have expressed their willingness to provide SunSync with land for the construction of a solar power plant. That is to say, the solar panels produced by this Chinese company in the Alat Free Economic Zone can be used to build power plants, and the generated green electricity can be sold to enterprises operating in the zone. Promote the production project of wind power equipment

The chairman of the management bureau also revealed that they are advancing another project involving the production of wind power equipment, and are negotiating with multiple companies on the construction of manufacturing facilities for wind turbine blades and other equipment required for wind power plants in the free economic zone. This will help reduce production and construction costs, while eliminating logistics difficulties in the transportation of wind power equipment. He added that they have initiated the construction work allocated to heavy industry areas and have completed the leveling of 364 hectares of land. Other infrastructure projects will be carried out gradually this year. The projects within the heavy industry area will be implemented by the Alat Free Economic Zone Management Bureau, while outside the area, AzerEnergy, the state-owned power generation and transmission company of Azerbaijan, will recently start construction of a large substation. Other government agencies will also simultaneously promote related infrastructure projects.Editor/Gong Ziwei
