Tencent Music's global headquarters R&D base is here! The project is located in the central area of Houhai, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, 200 meters west of Binhai Avenue 3001.

With a total investment of 1.58 billion yuan, the project was designed by internationally renowned architecture firm AS+GG, officially started in January 2023 and is scheduled to be completed and put into use by the end of 2027. As of October 2024, the basement structure has been successfully topped out, and the above-ground main structure construction is currently underway.

With the core concept of "technology creates infinite possibilities for music", AS+GG draws inspiration from the flow of music to create a music-like architectural form. The main body of the building symbolizes the rhythm and rhythm of music through smooth curves and dynamic volume changes, and the façade adopts an adaptive curtain wall design, which can adjust the spacing of plates and shading blades according to the environment, which not only ensures a wide field of view but also achieves efficient shading.

The project includes multi-functional areas such as office, retail, exhibition, performance, canteen, and fitness, as well as a 2,200-square-meter bus stop and public open plaza, emphasizing the connection between public space and urban green space system. The solar photovoltaic panels installed on the top not only provide energy to the building, but also create a signature visual effect through nighttime lighting, reflecting the combination of technology and environmental protection.

As the global headquarters of Tencent Music, it will house about 4,000 employees when completed, promoting the research and development of digital music technology and product upgrades, and contributing to the development of China's digital cultural industry.

The project covers an area of 6,788 square meters, with a total construction area of 89,677 square meters, a building height of 151.9 meters, 30 floors above ground and 3 floors underground.

The Tencent Music Headquarters Building not only meets the needs of efficient offices, but also supports diversified activities such as exhibitions and performances through a flexible "stage" space layout, and promotes community participation and industry exchanges.
