On May 17, Zhongxiang Capital New Energy Co., Ltd., together with Zhongxiang Overseas and Hong Kong Oasis Power Energy Development Co., Ltd., officially signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build a 150MW wind power project in Mondukiri in Cambodia.
Wei Wei, Chairman of Hong Kong Oasis Power Energy Development Co., Ltd., Li Zhenlai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Zhongxiang Overseas, and Peng Shaolin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Zhongxiang Capital New Energy Company, attended and witnessed the signing. Liu Wenbin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Zhongxiang Capital New Energy Company, presided over the signing ceremony.
The project is located in Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia, with a total installed capacity of 150MW, and is the first batch of large-scale wind power projects in Cambodia, filling the gap in the country's wind energy development field and realizing the efficient use of local high-quality wind energy resources. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026 and is expected to generate 465 million kWh of electricity annually after commissioning, which can meet the electricity needs of about 300,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 360,000 tons per year, helping Cambodia achieve the goal of "70% clean energy by 2030".
All parties said that the project will strictly abide by international environmental protection standards, introduce China's mature wind power technology and management experience, and combine Cambodia's local needs to create a model of green energy cooperation.
The signing of this agreement marks a major breakthrough in the company's new energy market layout along the Belt and Road, and is also an important measure for Zhongxiang Capital to practice the strategy of Hunan Construction Investment Group to build a "world-class construction investment enterprise", providing a new paradigm for the group's new energy business to "go to sea together". In the future, the three parties plan to expand wind power, photovoltaic and energy storage projects in Southeast Asia and along the Belt and Road to further accelerate the transformation of the regional energy structure.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
