The total investment of the project is more than 50 billion yuan, mainly including wind photovoltaic power generation, power transmission and transformation, water electrolysis hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and hydrogen transportation. The project uses the abundant solar and wind energy resources in the Ordos region to generate electricity and directly produce hydrogen, with a designed green hydrogen production scale of 30,000 t/a, and new photovoltaic power generation of 236.8MW and wind power generation of 450 MW. In addition, the project also has a 220 kV booster station, a 220 kV transmission line of 60.36 km, a 220 kV step-down station and a hydrogen production plant, equipped with 52 alkaline electrolyzers and related supporting facilities. The green hydrogen and green oxygen produced by the project will be transported by pipeline to the various units of the company's green carbon reduction upgrading project, replacing the existing coal-to-gray hydrogen, promoting the clean and low-carbon coal chemical products, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 700,000 tons per year.

After the project is put into operation, it will effectively solve a number of technical problems in hydrogen production under the condition of renewable fluctuating power supply, play a positive role in promoting the research of key technical standards and specifications for large-scale new energy hydrogen production, and expand the utilization mode of wind and solar energy.
