On May 16, the 15 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit of the leading plant of Huajin Aramco Fine Chemical and Raw Materials Project ushered in key progress, and the convection section of the two atmospheric heating furnaces of the core equipment of the plant was hoisted in place, and the main part of the atmospheric heating furnace was installed.

The 15 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit is the largest atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit in China that adopts two-stage decompression deep drawing technology, which can pretreat and preliminarily separate crude oil and provide subsequent processing raw materials, and is the leading device of the whole project. The convection section module installed this time is 30 meters long, 20 meters wide, 18 meters high, and the total weight is more than 840 tons.

Since the start of construction, the company has reduced the on-site installation workload and the number of man-machine through factory prefabrication, modular construction, prefabricated construction and other construction methods, which has effectively improved the on-site construction efficiency and reduced the safety risk of aerial work. This time, the convection section was transported into the factory and installed in only 4 days, and all the construction content was completed.

With a total investment of 83.7 billion yuan, Panjin Huajin Aramco Fine Chemical and Raw Materials Project is a major project of the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Saudi Arabia, which has been included in the national planning, and is an important part of China North Industries Group to build a petroleum and petrochemical industry chain, and is the key to Panjin to build an important petrochemical and fine chemical industry base in China.
