The Tashkent solar energy storage project in Uzbekistan, led by China Energy Engineering Corporation, has made significant progress - the structural topping out of the energy storage station control building and the comprehensive completion of on-site dynamic compaction. This project is a key collaboration between ACWA Power and the Uzbekistan Ministry of Energy, which includes a 200MW photovoltaic and 500MWh energy storage system. Once completed, it will become the largest integrated photovoltaic and storage project in Central Asia.
Faced with complex geological conditions, the Chinese team innovatively adopted an optimized construction plan and completed over 400000 cubic meters of earthwork operations and 210 cubic meters of concrete pouring. After the project is put into operation, the annual power generation will reach 460 million kilowatt hours, equivalent to saving 140000 tons of standard coal, which can significantly alleviate the electricity shortage in Tashkent region.
This is a landmark project of China Ukraine energy cooperation, "said the project leader. At present, the team is making every effort to promote equipment installation and ensure timely production. The implementation of this project will help Uzbekistan transform its energy structure and set a new example for green energy cooperation along the Belt and Road.
