On July 6, 2025, Shenzhen Yichu Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Ganfeng Group, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a 400MW/1600MWh independent shared energy storage power station in Fanzhi, Shanxi. With a total investment of 2 billion yuan, the project will become a leading independent shared energy storage power station in North China after completion, with an estimated annual income of 300 million yuan, providing important support for the development of regional new energy.

The project adopts the 5MWh energy storage container system independently developed by Ganfeng Group, and is equipped with the leading domestic high-cycle, long-life double-layer coated 314Ah lithium iron phosphate battery cells to ensure that the system has excellent cycle performance and long-term operation stability. As the core hub of the new power system in northern Shanxi, the power station can provide more than 500 million kWh of flexible adjustment capacity for the power grid every year after it is put into operation, greatly improving the level of regional new energy consumption and effectively alleviating the intermittent problem of renewable energy power generation.

In terms of environmental benefits, the energy storage power station can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 500,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to the carbon sequestration benefit of adding 2,800 hectares of forests, which is of great significance for promoting the green transformation of Shanxi's energy structure. The project adopts an "independent sharing" business model, which can provide diversified services such as energy storage capacity leasing and power auxiliary services for the surrounding new energy power stations to achieve efficient utilization of resources.

The implementation of the project will strongly support the 14th Five-Year Plan for energy development in Shanxi Province and help build a new power system with new energy as the main body.
