Under the framework of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" strategy, the expansion project of King Salman International Airport (KSIA) has made significant progress. The consortium composed of Saudi Arabia's Modern Building Leaders, China Power Construction Corporation and China Metallurgical Science and Industry Group officially participated in the bidding for the development of Terminal 6 and the iconic terminal, marking a new stage of infrastructure cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia.

This super project, known as the "future world aviation hub", plans to build six parallel runways, 12 square kilometers of supporting facilities and a complex integrating residential, entertainment and retail. China Architectural Design and Research Institute Group, as the lead consultant of the project, will integrate China's mature infrastructure experience with Middle Eastern characteristics. The project adopts the innovative model of "China-Saudi leadership + global wisdom", bringing together top international teams such as Ghafari in the United States, Artelia in France, DG Jones and IBM in the United Kingdom, which are responsible for constructability consulting, project management, cost control and digital integration respectively.

According to the latest strategy of the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority, the country's air passenger traffic will triple to 330 million by 2030, connecting more than 250 destinations around the world. The Chinese engineer who participated in the bidding said: "This project is like a modern version of the Silk Road, we not only bring Chinese technology, but also strive to achieve cultural integration. "

In recent years, from the Red Sea New City to the NEOM Smart City, Chinese construction companies have played an increasingly important role in the modernization process of Saudi Arabia. The bidding continues the good momentum of China-Saudi infrastructure cooperation, and with the addition of international teams such as Mace in the United Kingdom and Jacobs in the United States, the project has become the focus of attention in the global engineering community.

The expansion of King Salman International Airport is not only a key step in Saudi Arabia's development of a global aviation hub, but also a model of international engineering cooperation. After the completion of the project, it will significantly enhance Saudi Arabia's position in the global air transport system and provide important support for the realization of the economic diversification goal in the "Vision 2030".(This article is from the official website of Jiandao www.seetao.com it must not be reprinted without permission, otherwise it will be investigated, please indicate the reprint of Jiandao Network + original link) See the traffic column editor of Jiandao Network / Gao Xue
