In Mauritius, China Machinery and Equipment Engineering Corporation (CMEC), a subsidiary of the Group, signed an EPC contract with the National Power Company of Mauritius for ten 66/22kV GIS substations. The project adopts the world's leading gas-insulated combined electrical technology, which will significantly improve the operation efficiency of the local power grid and help Mauritius achieve the energy strategic goal of 60% renewable energy by 2030.

There is also good news in the Middle East. The natural gas central processing facility project in Iraq's nine districts, which was undertaken by China National Engineering International and participated in by China Machinery Construction, successfully completed the natural gas export, and Iraqi Prime Minister Sudani participated in the commissioning ceremony through video link. The project, which was launched in early 2022, is a key project of the Iraqi government's energy strategy, which is of great significance to improving the country's oil industrialization level and promoting economic diversification.

At the same time, the reconstruction and expansion project of Skikeda Oil and Gas Port in Algeria, in which China Machinery Construction participated, has also achieved phased results, and the M3 berth LNG terminal has passed the loading test. Chinese Ambassador to Argentina Dong Guangli pointed out during his inspection that the project is a model of high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road between China and Argentina, and will greatly improve the energy throughput capacity of the port and become an important engine for Algeria's economic development.
