As a key project of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" national reform plan, the King Harbour project was laid and named by King Salman himself. After the completion of the project, it will become the world's largest shipbuilding and maintenance base, with the ability to undertake the construction and maintenance of various ships and offshore platforms such as supertankers.
