Recently, China Construction Northeast Design and Research Institute successfully won the bid for the comprehensive development project of Lake Island in the core area of Alaman New City, Egypt, with a total construction area of 635000 square meters. As an important component of the strategic planning of Alaman New City, this project will create a new urban landmark that integrates leisure, cultural tourism, ecological experience, and public services, comprehensively enhancing the vitality of the Mediterranean coastal area.

Alaman is located on the northern Mediterranean coast of Egypt, with weak infrastructure. Despite possessing high-quality coastal resources, it has not been effectively developed for a long time. The Egyptian government included the construction of Alaman New City in the national "2030 Vision" in 2021, aiming to attract 3 million people and create an international level tourism and residential center by 2030. The winning bid for the Huxin Island project includes a multifunctional cultural square, a circular walkway, a temperature controlled swimming lake, a commercial district, and various public service facilities, all designed to fully adapt to the local climate and environmental characteristics.

The project plan integrates multiple Chinese technologies such as intelligent water circulation system, salt alkali resistant building materials, energy-saving ventilation, etc., while ensuring aesthetics and practicality, it greatly enhances sustainable operation capabilities. Prior to this, the Alaman super high-rise complex project undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation had made significant progress, with a completion rate of 95% for the main structure construction and a construction speed of "seven days and one floor" for four residential buildings. It also widely applied intelligent construction site management systems, AI security, and localized training systems.

As of now, the China Construction Engineering Group's series of projects have directly created over 2000 job opportunities in Egypt, involving more than 400 subcontractors, achieving the dual goals of technology output and talent cultivation. The Egyptian government emphasized that all artificial lakes in the new city will adopt seawater desalination technology to ensure ecological sustainability and tourism development value.
