On September 21, 2025, the highly anticipated Liaoning Huadian Tiaobingshan Wind Power Hydrogen Production Coupling 100000 ton Green Methanol Integrated Project officially kicked off construction. The landing of this national level green energy project injects strong new impetus into Liaoning's energy development.

As the first batch of national green liquid fuel technology research and industrialization pilot projects, this project has extraordinary significance. Its total investment is as high as 3.945 billion yuan, and the planned construction content is rich and comprehensive. We will build a 450 MW wind farm and power transmission and transformation project to provide stable wind power support for the project; Construct a 295 MW hydrogen production and storage facility to achieve efficient preparation and storage of green hydrogen; Supporting 80 MW/MWh energy storage power stations to enhance the stability and flexibility of energy supply; We also plan to build a 100000 ton/year methanol synthesis plant to promote the large-scale production of green methanol. After the completion of the project, it is expected to produce 19000 tons of green hydrogen and 100000 tons of green methanol annually, and the results are highly anticipated.

Huadian Liaoning Company emphasized that this project is a landmark project to deepen cooperation between the central and local governments and focus on the development of hydrogen based energy. From a macro perspective, it will help Liaoning to integrate the entire industry chain of green hydrogen based energy production, storage, transmission, and utilization. During the critical period of energy structure transformation, providing strong support for the optimization and upgrading of Liaoning's energy structure, promoting the transformation of traditional energy to green energy, and injecting strong momentum into the three-year action plan for comprehensive revitalization and new breakthroughs.
