The announcement of the proposed winning bidder for the civil construction of the Guanghua Road to Chaoyang section of the Beijing Suburban Railway Northeast Ring Line project marks an important step forward in the construction of key parts of the project.

The initial construction section announced this time is the section from Guanghua Road to Chaoyang in Beijing, which is a key controlled project. The total length of the bidding section is about 7 kilometers, mainly for tunnel engineering, with an estimated investment of about 6.4 billion yuan and a planned construction period of 5 years. It is divided into 3 contract sections. The 01 contract section covers 1 station and 2 sections. The proposed winning bidder is China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., with a bid price of 775369829 yuan; The 02 contract section also includes 1 station and 2 sections. The proposed winning bidder is Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with a bid price of 1062890033 yuan; The 03 contract section has 1 station and 3 sections. The proposed winning bidder is Beijing Urban Construction Rail Transit Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., with a bid price of 608090866 yuan.
The Beijing Suburban Railway Northeast Ring Line (South Exit to Guanghua section) project fully utilizes the existing Beijing Baotou Railway, Northeast Ring Line Railway, and corridors. The line starts from Guanghua Road Station in Chaoyang District in the south and ends at Nankou Station in Changping District in the north, with a main line of about 59 kilometers. The construction methods vary in different sections: a new double track will be built from Guanghua Road to Chaoyang in Beijing, with a length of about 7 kilometers (6 kilometers of tunnel); The Chaoyang to Changping section of Beijing runs parallel to the existing Northeast Ring Road and will add a second line (excluding the Huoying to Xinlongze section), with a length of approximately 39.6 kilometers (1.7 kilometers of bridges); The section from Changping to Nankou utilizes the existing Jingbao line and undergoes electrification renovation, with a length of approximately 8.3 kilometers. The design speed also varies by section, with a speed of 100km/h from Guanghua Road Station to Beijing Chaoyang Station, 120km/h from Beijing Chaoyang Station to Jiuxianqiao Station, and 160km/h (partially 120km/h) from Jiuxianqiao Station to Nankou Station. The estimated total investment for the project is about 22 billion yuan. Considering simultaneous construction and phased opening, the construction period for the Beijing Chaoyang to Nankou section is 2.5 years, and the construction period for the Guanghua Road to Beijing Chaoyang section is 5 years.

There are a total of 16 stations along the entire line, including 10 new ones and 6 renovated existing stations. The Northeast Ring Road is of great significance. It connects with the S2 line and the sub center line, linking the core functional area of Beijing's urban spatial structure, the main central urban area, the sub center of the city, as well as the new cities of Fangshan, Changping, and Yanqing in multiple points. In the future, the Northeast Ring Road will greatly shorten commuting time, achieving a direct connection from Huilongguan to Guomao area in about half an hour, and a direct connection from Nankou to Guanghua Road in about an hour. At the same time, with the help of relevant connecting lines, high-speed trains can also be operated on the Beijing Chaoyang to Beijing Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, achieving cross line operation of the Beijing Zhangjiakou high-speed railway.
The Northeast Ring Line Project of Beijing Suburban Railway is not only an upgrade of transportation infrastructure, but also a new engine for urban development, which will inject strong impetus into the optimization of Beijing's urban space and regional coordinated development.Editor/Cheng Liting
