Recently, Sanhang Bureau, an important backbone enterprise under China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd., successfully won the bid for the civil engineering and steel structure installation of the harbor warehouse in the expansion project of the Golden Light Pulp Mill in Indonesia. This move not only marks the third aviation bureau's undertaking of another key project in overseas markets, but also realizes its strategic leap from the traditional hydraulic market to the land market in the Jinguang factory area, laying a solid foundation for the deep development of infrastructure markets in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
The winning project is located in the southern part of Sumatra Island, Indonesia, which is an important pulp and paper industry base in the area. The construction content of the project mainly covers three major areas: the construction of a sizable steel structure harbor warehouse (136.95 meters long and 111 meters wide), a workshop, and a modern sewage treatment plant. The project is clearly divided into two independent engineering packages, civil engineering and steel structure installation, with construction periods of 195 days and 180 days respectively. The contractor is required to have efficient organization and precise construction capabilities.
Of particular note is that this project is the first onshore project undertaken by the Third Navigation Bureau within the factory area. In the past, Sanhang Bureau was renowned for its outstanding technology in the field of hydraulic engineering such as ports, docks, and channel dredging, and established good cooperative relationships with the owners. The successful bid for the land civil engineering and industrial plant project marks a substantial expansion of the depth and breadth of cooperation between the two parties, and is a key breakthrough for the Third Navigation Bureau to achieve the "water to land" market strategy. This proves that its comprehensive engineering contracting capability has been fully recognized by international clients and is no longer limited to a single field.
Indonesia is an important global producer of pulp and paper, with Sumatra Island being its core industrial area. As an industry giant, Jinguang Group's continuous capacity expansion has put forward higher requirements for supporting infrastructure. The newly built large-scale seaport warehouse in this project will directly serve the storage and transit of raw materials and finished pulp.

After the completion of the project, it will significantly enhance the storage and turnover capacity of goods in the harbor warehouse of Jinguang Pulp Mill, forming a more efficient and smooth logistics chain. This not only solves the storage bottleneck problem after the expansion of factory production capacity, but also provides strong hardware support for the stable shipment of pulp products in the future, thereby consolidating and enhancing the operational efficiency and market competitiveness of the entire industry chain. This project is therefore regarded as a key link in supporting the sustainable development of the local pulp and paper industry. Keywords: the Belt and Road news, the Belt and Road latest information
Faced with this iconic project, Sanhang Bureau is actively allocating advantageous resources and forming an experienced project management team. The company will rely on its rich construction experience accumulated overseas, with refined project management, standardized process flow, and specialized quality control, to ensure that the project is delivered with high standards and high quality within the construction period.
The successful "landing" this time is a vivid practice of the Third Navigation Bureau's implementation of the "going global" strategy and promotion of diversified business development. It not only brings direct economic benefits, but also shows the strong comprehensive strength and adaptability of Chinese infrastructure enterprises to the Southeast Asian market, adding another wonderful footnote to the deepening of industrial cooperation between Chinese enterprises and countries along the the Belt and Road.Editor/Cheng Liting
