Recently, China Hydropower Construction Group, a subsidiary of China Electric Power Construction Corporation, officially signed a contract with the National Health Investment Planning Agency of Peru for the design and construction of a highly complex hospital in the Piura region of Peru, with a contract amount of 6.568 billion yuan. As a leading enterprise serving the construction of the "the Belt and Road", the medical infrastructure project that POWERCHINA won the bid this time is quite a benchmark. The project is located in Piura City, northern Peru, with a total area of 37780 square meters. It plans to construct four comprehensive buildings integrating medical, medical technology, and administrative functions. After completion, it will be equipped with 387 beds, 15 modern operating rooms, and high-end medical facilities such as radiation therapy and nuclear medicine. The project has a construction period of 1080 days and a defect liability period of 52 weeks. The undertaking of this project is an important breakthrough for China Power Construction's business to extend from the energy and water conservancy fields to medical infrastructure, demonstrating its full industry chain service capabilities.

This cooperation is not accidental, but the inevitable result of China Power Construction's deep cultivation of the Peruvian market. Previously, the company had participated in the construction of the San Gabriel III hydropower station in Peru, with a rated head of 630.71 meters, a total installed capacity of 209.3 megawatts, and a designed annual power generation of up to 1.25 billion kilowatt hours; 38 modern schools have also been built, with a total construction area of over 260000 square meters, benefiting 35000 students. Years of localization and deep cultivation have laid a solid foundation for the signing of this project.

From the perspective of improving people's livelihoods, the construction of the new hospital will completely change the current situation of insufficient medical resources and inadequate diagnosis and treatment level in the local area.
