Recently, China Construction First Engineering Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the maintenance base project of China Eastern Airlines Pudong International Airport (excluding pile foundation) with its profound infrastructure accumulation, mature aviation engineering construction experience, and cost-effective technical solutions. The project is located in Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. As a key project supporting the regional aviation industry, its implementation will not only improve the maintenance and support system of Pudong International Airport, but also inject strong impetus into the construction of the Yangtze River Delta aviation hub.

The project is located in the core aviation supporting area of Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New Area. The land is adjacent to Planning Second Road to the west, Airport Weichang River to the north, Airport Weichang River (formerly Bailong Port) to the east, Nanheng Second Road to the south, and adjacent to Runway 1 and Runway 3 of the airport flight area to the north. The geographical location is superior and the transportation connection is convenient. The construction project covers 18 individual buildings, including Parking Complex Building 1, Comprehensive Building 2, and Aviation Material Warehouse Building 3. It also includes the simultaneous construction of apron, taxiway, and outdoor ancillary facilities. The total construction area is 172621.23 square meters, ranking among the top aviation maintenance bases in terms of scale and volume.

From the perspective of investment and construction period, the total investment of the project is about 2.792 billion yuan, and the construction and installation cost of this section is 1.178 billion yuan. The bidding price of China Construction First Engineering Bureau is 1.09 billion yuan, achieving cost optimization while ensuring project quality. The construction period of the project is set at 623 calendar days. After completion, it will have advanced comprehensive functions such as aircraft maintenance, aviation material storage, and personnel support, greatly enhancing China Eastern Airlines' aviation maintenance service capabilities in the East China region, easing the current shortage of maintenance resources, and providing important support for the extension of the aviation industry chain around the airport.
