Sinopec has achieved substantial results in opening up international markets. Recently, Sinopec Refining & Chemical Engineering Group won the bid for the AGCC polyolefin project in Russia, and its engineering construction company and Russian branch signed EPSS contracts for the project outside Russia and Russia, with a contract value of about 230 million euros.
In 2019, Refinery Engineering Group and Tecnimont of Italy formed a consortium to participate in the quotation of polyolefin package EPSS in the AGCC project. Among them, the engineering construction company is responsible for 500,000 tons / year of HDPE device design, procurement and on-site service quotation.
SIBUR, Russia's largest integrated petrochemical company. On June 5, 2019, witnessed by the heads of state of China and Russia, Sinopec and Sibur signed a framework agreement to invest in the construction of a large-scale chemical complex (AGCC) project in the Amur region of the Russian Far East. Sinopec plans to hold 40 % Shares. The project uses ethane and LPG provided by the Amur Gas Processing Plant as raw materials, uses light hydrocarbon cracking technology and advanced polyolefin technology to produce polyethylene and polypropylene, and is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of 2024.
This project is of great significance to Sinopec's implementation of the One Belt One Road strategy. The SIBUR AGCC polyolefin project will help Sinopec's international operation, further expand the Russian regional engineering market, and enhance the company's international operation capabilities.
