At the end of November 2025, China Aneng Group successfully won the bid for the construction and equipment bundling procurement project of the 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic project in Loulan, Shanshan County, Turpan City, South Xinjiang Branch of Huaneng Xinjiang Energy Development Co., Ltd., with a bid amount of 5.88 billion yuan. This major cooperation is not only a key measure for both sides to deepen collaboration in the field of clean energy, but also injects strong impetus into the layout of new energy industries and the transformation of energy structure in southern Xinjiang.

It is reported that the project is located in Shanshan County, Turpan City, which has abundant solar energy resources, long annual sunshine hours, high radiation intensity, and natural advantages for developing large-scale photovoltaic power stations. The project plans to construct 2 million kilowatts of photovoltaic modules and supporting energy storage and transmission facilities, using advanced high-efficiency photovoltaic technology and intelligent operation and maintenance systems in the industry. It is expected that the annual power generation after completion will reach more than 3 billion kilowatt hours. By replacing traditional fossil fuel power generation, carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by about 2.5 million tons per year, which is of great significance for promoting the implementation of regional "dual carbon" goals and improving the ecological environment.

As a leading enterprise in the domestic infrastructure and energy fields, China Aneng Group has successfully won the project with its core advantages in large-scale engineering construction, complete equipment integration, and project lifecycle management. This bid covers integrated services for construction and equipment procurement, fully leveraging the company's comprehensive capabilities in "investment, construction, and operation integration" to ensure high-quality project implementation. The implementation of the project will further improve the clean energy transmission network in southern Xinjiang, assist in building a national level new energy base, and provide stable and reliable green energy support for regional economic development.

The relevant person in charge of Huaneng Xinjiang Company stated that choosing to cooperate with China Aneng Group is based on its rich experience and strong capabilities in the construction of new energy projects. Both sides will take this cooperation as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in the fields of photovoltaics, energy storage, and new energy consumption, jointly explore new models of clean energy development, and contribute to the high-quality development of Xinjiang's energy industry.

The implementation of this project is an important epitome of the acceleration of new energy development in northwest China. With the deepening implementation of the "dual carbon" strategy, Xinjiang, as an important national energy strategic base, is accelerating the construction of large-scale wind and solar bases. The construction of this 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic project will not only enhance the regional clean energy supply capacity, but also drive the development of the local photovoltaic industry chain,Editor/Bian Wenjun
