As a key island region for development in Indonesia, Setokok Island has long been limited by weak power infrastructure and insufficient capacity for clean energy consumption. The power transmission and transformation consulting project won by China Electric Power Engineering will fundamentally enhance the carrying capacity and stability of the island power grid through comprehensive construction supervision of three double circuit high-voltage transmission lines, one high-voltage gas insulated switchgear substation, as well as supporting systems such as SCADA system and fiber optic communication, laying a solid energy foundation for local industrial development and livelihood improvement.

China Electric Engineering International Corporation will play the role of "technical manager" in the project, providing full process consulting services from survey and design to commissioning and production for the owners.
