On the blue coast of Java Sea, the Indonesian island of Setokok is undergoing a "smart upgrade" of its energy system. With the entry of the project team from China Energy Engineering Corporation International, the power network of this island will be revitalized with the empowerment of Chinese technology - high-voltage lines shuttle through the mountains and forests, intelligent substations rise from the ground, and a picture of efficient transmission of clean energy is slowly unfolding.

Breaking through: Solving the problem of island power supply

As a key island region for development in Indonesia, Setokok Island has long been limited by weak power infrastructure and insufficient capacity for clean energy consumption. The power transmission and transformation consulting project won by China Electric Power Engineering will fundamentally enhance the carrying capacity and stability of the island power grid through comprehensive construction supervision of three double circuit high-voltage transmission lines, one high-voltage gas insulated switchgear substation, as well as supporting systems such as SCADA system and fiber optic communication, laying a solid energy foundation for local industrial development and livelihood improvement.

Empowering: China's solution provides full support throughout the process

China Electric Engineering International Corporation will play the role of "technical manager" in the project, providing full process consulting services from survey and design to commissioning and production for the owners. The team will strictly supervise the execution of the EPC contract to ensure that every aspect complies with international standards and Chinese technical experience. This deep integration of technology output and localized services not only reflects the professional level of Chinese enterprises in the high-end consulting field, but also cultivates local power technology talents for Indonesia.

Win win: Connecting Green Energy with the Future

After the completion of the project, the renewable energy access efficiency of Setokok Island will increase by more than 40%, which can support clean electricity for hundreds of thousands of households every year. This not only directly helped Indonesia achieve the target of renewable energy share in 2025, but also demonstrated the inclusiveness of China's technology and the the Belt and Road Initiative through specific practices. From the Java Sea to the South China Sea, green links built by electricity are bringing the two countries together on the path of energy transformation. As the project enters the implementation phase, the China Electric Engineering team has started on-site work. Project manager Li Wei said, "We will deeply combine the innovative experience of China's power grid construction with Indonesia's actual needs to create a replicable and sustainable model for island energy upgrading." Between the blue ocean and the emerald green islands, Chinese technology is writing a win-win story across mountains and seas.Editor/Yang Meiling
