Billion dollar investment landing
On December 7th, Xining Economic and Technological Development Zone announced the successful signing of a large-scale energy storage industry project with a total investment of over 10 billion yuan. The project focuses on energy storage system integration, core component manufacturing, and large-scale application. After completion, it will form a production capacity of 50 gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy storage integration, with an expected annual output value of nearly 10 billion yuan after reaching capacity, directly solving employment for over a thousand people. This not only fills the gap in high-end manufacturing of regional energy storage, but also drives the agglomeration of upstream and downstream industries, forming a closed loop of the entire industry chain from materials, equipment to applications. Xining Development Zone relies on Qinghai's abundant photovoltaic and wind power resources, as well as the existing manufacturing foundation of lithium battery materials and new energy equipment, to position the energy storage industry as a key link between clean energy production and consumption, injecting solid impetus into regional economic growth.

Collaborative emission reduction and efficiency enhancement of light storage
At the application level of energy storage, Xining Development Zone adheres to the strategy of pilot first and large-scale promotion, and has made breakthroughs in load side energy storage scenarios. For example, the Lihao 1.2 GW load side energy storage project, as a new energy storage demonstration project in Qinghai Province, is accelerating the feasibility study; Enterprises such as Huanghe Xinye have applied mobile energy storage vehicle systems, effectively improving power supply stability and energy efficiency. At the same time, the development zone actively promotes the synergy of photovoltaic and energy storage, encouraging enterprises to use factory roofs to build distributed photovoltaics and support energy storage.
