Recently, Chicheng County in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, released an environmental impact assessment report for a large-scale photovoltaic new energy project, marking a substantial step forward in promoting the construction of clean energy bases and assisting the green transformation of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. This project is an important component of the million new energy base of Zhangjiakou Power Plant, and is expected to significantly enhance the regional renewable energy supply capacity after completion, injecting new momentum into the green development of the Winter Olympics city.

Project Overview and Construction Scale
According to public documents, the Longguan 300MW Photovoltaic Project of Zhangjiakou Power Plant's Million New Energy Base is located in Longguan Town and Baoliang Township, Chicheng County, with a total area of 742.6136 hectares. The installed capacity on the DC side of the project is 381.84575MWp, and the capacity on the AC side is 300MW, with a total of 103 power generation units designed. The total investment of the project is about 1.929 billion yuan. A new Longguan 220kV substation will be built, equipped with 2 main transformers, and supporting ancillary facilities such as a 190MW/4-hour energy storage system will be constructed simultaneously. The overall construction period is 12 months.

Significant energy-saving and emission reduction benefits
This project is invested and constructed by Datang Zhonghe (Chicheng) New Energy Co., Ltd. The expected power generation in the first year of operation is about 62003.79 million kWh, with an equivalent utilization hours of 1623.79 hours; During the 25 year operation period, the average annual on grid electricity consumption can reach 586.7047 million kWh, with an average annual equivalent hours of approximately 1536.5 hours. After the project is fully put into operation, it can provide 586704.69MWh of clean electricity to the power grid annually. Based on the coal consumption of 301.6g standard coal/kWh for thermal power supply, approximately 177000 tons of standard coal can be saved annually, resulting in a corresponding reduction of approximately 463500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 3367.68 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, and 5057.39 tons of nitrogen oxide emissions, with significant environmental benefits.
