The morning sunlight penetrates the thin mist of the Danube plain and falls on a continuous photovoltaic array in central Hungary. The blue black panel shines brightly in the light and shadow, and the positive current source continuously flows into the local power grid. This photovoltaic power station covering over a thousand acres is the "largest back contact solar power station in Europe" led by Hungarian energy company Solarpro and equipped with Chinese Longi BC back contact components. From the technological breakthroughs in the Xi'an laboratory, to the cross-border transportation of the China Europe freight train, and to the grid connection and operation along the Danube River, the journey of a photovoltaic module has witnessed another breakthrough in China Europe clean energy cooperation.

BC components reshape the efficiency ceiling of power plants

The traditional electrode grid line on the front of the component will block sunlight, but the back contact technology completely solves this pain point, "said the technical director of Longi Europe, revealing the core competitiveness of the project. The Longi BC back contact component used this time has all electrodes arranged on the back of the battery, achieving zero obstruction on the front and directly improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency to over 26%, which is 5% -8% higher than conventional components.

To adapt to the changing weather conditions of Hungary's temperate continental climate, Longi has also customized and upgraded the components: the wind pressure resistance level has been increased to 2400Pa, which can withstand strong winds in winter; The moisture and heat resistance meets the Double 85 standard (85 ℃ high temperature, 85% humidity), effectively reducing the attenuation rate during long-term operation. According to Solarpro's calculations, the annual power generation of the power station after operation can reach 520 million kilowatt hours, which can meet the electricity needs of 150000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 400000 tons per year.

A win-win model for technology going global and local operation

I chose Longi because they can provide a full chain service from component supply to technical support, "said the Solarpro project leader at the launch ceremony. During the project construction period, the technical team dispatched by LONGi was fully involved, and tailored a photovoltaic array layout plan based on Hungary's lighting data and grid access requirements to ensure maximum power generation of the power station.

This is not a simple equipment export, but a deep collaboration between technology and operation. Solarpro, with its localized project experience, has solved localization challenges such as land approval and power grid integration; Longji has injected core competitiveness into the project with its leading back contact technology. The joint efforts of both parties not only make this power station a new benchmark for back contact photovoltaics in Europe, but also create a clean energy cooperation model of "Chinese technology+European operation", providing a replicable reference path for global energy transformation.

Driven by the global carbon neutrality goal, this photovoltaic array on the banks of the Danube River is writing a new chapter in China Europe cooperation with a continuous supply of clean electricity. The cross-border journey of Longi BC modules also confirms the transformation of China's photovoltaic technology from "following" to "leading", illuminating the direction for the upgrading of the global photovoltaic industry.Editor/Bian Wenjun
