On December 18, 2025, the 500000 kilowatt new energy project of China Resources Ningxia Zhongwei Silicon based Characteristic Advantage Industry Green Power Park officially broke ground in the photovoltaic field area of Yongkang Town. With a total installed capacity of 500 megawatts and a total investment of approximately 1.71 billion yuan, this project is not only a crucial step in the local energy transformation, but also completed the entire process from approval to commencement in 96 days at a super high speed, setting a new record for China Resources Power's project promotion in Ningxia.

Precise implementation under the strategy of green power park
The rapid implementation of this project is deeply rooted in the innovative strategy of the characteristic advantageous industry green power park that Ningxia Autonomous Region has been implementing since 2024. The autonomous region's plan is clear, focusing on four major industries including modern coal chemical industry, silicon-based, aluminum manganese, and big data computing power. Through the construction of new energy projects, low-cost green electricity will be directly provided to the park, aiming to build a more competitive modern industrial system. The project plans to generate 900 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which is equivalent to saving 240000 tons of standard coal and reducing 690000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. Its electricity will mainly supply high-capacity silicon-based enterprises in the park, which precisely fits the core goal of the autonomous region's plan to increase the proportion of green electricity in the silicon-based industry from 35% to 60% by 2027. Through the bilateral trading model of green power, enterprises can obtain stable clean energy at more competitive prices, effectively reducing production costs. New energy projects also lock in the long-term consumption market, achieving deep binding and coordinated development between the industry and green power.
The Efficient Collaboration and Strategic Ambition Behind CR Speed
The 96 day start of construction reflects the speed of China Resources, which is a concentrated demonstration of the efficient collaboration of multiple parties and the determination of China Resources Power to deeply cultivate the new energy market in Ningxia. The project officially received investment approval on September 12, 2025, and its 200000 kilowatt wind power component was quickly approved by the Ningxia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission on September 24. In fact, the preparation work for the project had already started half a year ago, and the relevant companies of China Resources began purchasing technical services for project implementation plan preparation in June, laying a solid foundation for rapid progress in the future.

The rapid layout of China Resources Power in Ningxia is evident to all. Only in 2025, in addition to the Zhongwei project, China Resources has successfully won the bid for a 200000 kilowatt guaranteed photovoltaic project in Guyuan City. Earlier, in the competition for 3.7 gigawatts of guaranteed photovoltaic projects in the autonomous region, China Resources ranked first among all enterprises with a acquisition scale of 900 megawatts.
