In order to meet China's LPG import demand. Recently, Alashankou Duodu Pipeline Company and China National Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. signed the China-Kazakhstan LPG cross-border pipeline design project contract. This marks the full launch of China's first cross-border LPG pipeline design work.

It is understood that China still uses cars or self-provided tank container trains to import liquefied petroleum gas from Kazakhstan. There are problems such as insufficient transportation capacity, high cost, large oil and gas losses, and great weather effects. As the first key construction project of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Government in 2020, this project will solve the problem of imported liquefied petroleum gas transportation and further expand the scale of China-Kazakhstan liquefied petroleum gas trade, which is of great significance for promoting regional economic and social development.

It is reported that the project starts from the first station of LPG in Kazakhstan and ends at the last station of LPG of Dushanzi Petrochemical in China. The total length is nearly 300 kilometers, the pipe diameter is 273 mm, and the design pressure is 9 MPa. A total of 4 stations and 13 line cut-off valve rooms are set along the project.

Li Guohui, deputy general manager of Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd., introduced that after receiving the bidding notice, they quickly set up a bidding team to conduct an in-depth study on the needs of the owners and the feasibility study report. Through the existing project information, the company ’s previous design was compared Many project materials and advanced and reasonable design schemes have laid a solid foundation for the successful bidding of the project.

The project is not only an important measure of local infrastructure during the new coronavirus period, but also a strategic extension of the West-East Gas Transmission Project, and it is also a concrete implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative in the key western region of Xinjiang. For a long period of time in the future, it will help stabilize the energy needs of people's livelihood in the eastern region. Editor / Tian Zengpeng
