New benchmark for green computing power, creating a growth pole for the digital economy

Tori County was once a traditional resource-based county in Xinjiang, but now it is undergoing a profound industrial transformation. Under the strategic guidance of accelerating the construction of the five districts and building a 5+2 modern industrial system in the Tacheng area, this county town at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains has found a new development direction - green intelligent computing.

At the launch ceremony on December 29th, the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Zhi Xianwei, and leaders at all levels jointly lit up the crystal ball symbolizing the launch of 12500 P computing power. This land, once known for its natural resources, is now writing a new chapter in the development of the digital economy.

The computing power industry is an important new productive factor in the digital economy era and an important engine for high-quality economic development, "said Xue Guiqiang, a member of the local committee and executive deputy commissioner of the administrative office, in his speech.

The Tacheng area relies on abundant wind and solar resources to accelerate the transformation of green electricity resources into tangible computing power supply, achieving a virtuous cycle of new energy installation and stable computing power load.

From March 2024 to present, Tori County has attracted 22 enterprises to settle in the Green Carbon Intelligent Computing Industrial Park through precise investment promotion, forming a preliminary trend of cluster development.

The industrial agglomeration effect is evident, and leading enterprises are taking the lead in layout

At the launch ceremony on that day, several industry leaders signed cooperation agreements on computing power consumption, injecting market confidence into the future development of the park. Representatives from companies such as Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd. and Xindaodi Digital Technology Co., Ltd. completed the signing on site.

As one of the first batch of settled enterprises, Jiang Nan, General Manager of Mihe Digital Group Co., Ltd., said, "We will continue to root in Xinjiang, deeply cultivate the field of computing power, actively participate in the construction of new energy bases, and help promote the economic and social development and improvement of people's livelihoods in Tacheng

Within the park, three important platforms were unveiled simultaneously: the Xinjiang Tacheng Green Carbon Intelligent Computing Industrial Park Cooperation Center of Chengdu Information Technology Co., Ltd. of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Smart Infrastructure Joint Laboratory of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, and the China Telecom Tianyi Cloud Intelligent Computing Edge Node.

These platforms will provide comprehensive support for enterprises from technology research and development to application implementation, forming an integrated innovation ecosystem of industry, academia, research and application. The entry of representative enterprises such as Dr. Peng and Changfeng Taifu has further enriched the industrial ecology of the park.

Serve the national strategy and build a network of computing power

This project is deeply integrated into the network layout of Xinjiang's computing power, which is a specific measure for Tacheng region to implement the national strategy of East West computing and promote the autonomous region's artificial intelligence+action. Liu Weidong, a second level inspector of the Development and Reform Commission of the autonomous region, pointed out that the Development and Reform Commission of the autonomous region insists on cultivating the intelligent computing industry as a key strategic emerging industry.

The Tacheng region, relying on its unique geographical advantages and resource endowments, is becoming an important node connecting the construction of digital infrastructure in western China and Central Asia.

After the launch ceremony, the attending leaders and guests visited the intelligent computing room together.
