In the rugged Karakoram Mountains of northern Pakistan, a winding road is quietly changing its appearance. Recently, with the completion of the final concrete pouring, the DASU-KKH-01 Karakoram Highway realignment project of the Dasu Hydropower Station, undertaken by the Pakistan branch of China Civil Engineering Group Middle East Company, has reached an exciting moment - the Dogah Bridge arch ring has successfully closed.
This is not only a victory for a single bridge body, but also means that the three key bridges listed as "core control projects" of the project have successfully "met" at all key construction nodes of their lower structures, clearing the biggest obstacle for the full line connection of this future hydropower station lifeline project.

The Three Bridges Campaign brings good news
The completion of concrete pouring for the Dogah Bridge arch ring is the headline of this successful news. And its two 'brothers' also performed outstandingly. As the largest reinforced concrete arch bridge in Pakistan, the construction site of Barseen Bridge is busy, with the pouring of prefabricated beams and the construction of the upper columns of the arch ring progressing steadily and synchronously. The Uchar Bridge not far away is famous for its towering piers, which are the tallest continuous rigid frame bridge in northern Pakistan.
Just recently, the bridge successfully completed the construction of the first section of the upper structure's hanging basket. This complex and high-precision step was successfully completed, demonstrating the leading strength of the Chinese team in the construction of bridges in complex terrains. The collective completion of three bridges, three types of high difficulty bridges, and the nodes of the lower structure marks the most complex and challenging stage of the project construction, officially entering a new milestone of rapid construction of the upper structure and full line connection.

Accelerated formation of infrastructure network
The breakthrough of the Dasu project is not an isolated case. In other regions of Pakistan, Chinese civil engineering projects are also accelerating. In Karachi, the economic center of the southern coast, the progress of the East West Port Connection Bridge project is rapid: 83 of the 87 shore piles have been completed, and all 85 underwater piles have been completed. The project's focus has been fully on the construction of bogie beams and upper structures, and it is sprinting towards the ultimate goal of connectivity.
At the same time, the second section of the N55 highway lane expansion project (Hikabur Rajanpur) and the second section of the Kassim Port Authority main access road repair and upgrade project are also focusing on core tasks such as bridge pile foundations and substructures. The construction organization is tight and orderly, and the construction progress is efficient and stable. These projects are located in the north and south of Pakistan, forming a vibrant construction landscape that effectively promotes the upgrading and improvement of the local transportation network.

A new chapter in the spectrum of China Pakistan cooperation
Bridges connect mountains and rivers, as well as the future. Facing the next stage of construction tasks, China Civil Engineering Pakistan Branch has made comprehensive deployment and will closely focus on every project node, continuously optimize construction organization, strengthen various resource guarantees, and promote the dual improvement of quality and speed of all projects with higher standards, stricter requirements, and more practical measures. Keywords: international news, transportation news
While ensuring that every project can be executed on schedule and with high quality, China Civil Engineering is committed to continuously enhancing the brand of China's infrastructure with high-quality projects that can withstand the test. This is not only an improvement in the company's market reputation and industry influence, but also a continuous injection of momentum for the company to achieve long-term and sustainable development in Pakistan. Every inch of the road being pushed forward and every bridge being built is continuing to write a new chapter of win-win cooperation between China and Pakistan in the field of infrastructure construction through practical actions.Editor/Yang Meiling
