A transportation artery connecting east and west, a model of cooperation that benefits people's livelihoods. On December 29, President Vucic of Serbia visited Golubac to inspect the "Danube Corridor" expressway project contracted by Chinese enterprises, and praised this key project of China Serbia joint construction of the "the Belt and Road".

Vucic stated that the "Danube Corridor" project will bring unprecedented opportunities for the development of eastern Serbia, and strong development momentum will be unleashed from this. He had in-depth exchanges with Chinese and Serbian builders, highly recognizing their hard work and professional abilities, and expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the Serbian side. According to the plan, the project will be fully completed before November 2026, and the travel time from Belgrade to Golubac will be reduced to 1 hour and 15 minutes. This breakthrough, which was unimaginable in the past, will completely rewrite the local transportation pattern.

When talking about bilateral relations, Vu č i ć clearly pointed out that Serbia firmly upholds world peace and stability, respects the United Nations Charter and international public law, and firmly supports the One China principle. Taiwan is an inseparable part of the territory of the People's Republic of China, which is Serbia's consistent position and our long-term foreign policy

Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming responded positively to this. He pointed out that the "Danube Corridor" project is a vivid portrayal of the concept of a community with a shared future between China and Serbia. After completion, the project will achieve efficient connectivity between eastern and northern Serbia, becoming a golden channel for driving regional development. Li Ming emphasized that the mutual support between China and Serbia on core interest issues is the cornerstone of bilateral relations, and Serbia firmly adheres to the One China principle, laying a solid foundation for deepening cooperation between the two countries. The two countries working together not only contribute to each other's development, but also set a benchmark on the road to maintaining international fairness and justice.

It is reported that the "Danube Corridor" expressway is constructed by Shandong Expressway Group, with a total length of about 68 kilometers, four lanes in both directions, and a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Currently, 31.85 kilometers of the road have been successfully opened to traffic.Editor/Bian Wenjun
