Recently, at Nanning International Railway Port, blue containers were neatly stacked and staff were busy loading and unloading. The China Vietnam express clearance train loaded with goods departs from here and is sent to Vietnam. Since the beginning of this year, as of April 23, 2026, a total of 10488 TEUs have been sent by China Vietnam trains originating from Guangxi. This steel channel that runs day and night is becoming a powerful support for the smooth cross-border logistics between China and ASEAN, and also making the "Nanning Channel" effect more prominent.

Infrastructure strengthens cross-border foundation
As the core carrier for building a land port national logistics hub in Nanning, Nanning International Railway Port is steadily advancing according to the functional layout of "one core, two ports, and seven zones", and has already completed and put into use seven functional zones. The four major functions of railway freight transportation, customs supervision, cross-border e-commerce, and professional market in the port area are constantly improving. We plan to build a container operation area, a new disassembly and assembly area, a new energy freight vehicle charging station, and other facilities to continuously improve our freight service capabilities and support the integrated green development of port, industry, and city.

Improvement of operational quality and efficiency of China Vietnam trains
Since its launch in November 2017, the China Vietnam freight train originating from Guangxi has seen a steady increase in the volume of goods shipped, with 455 cargo names transported and sources radiating to 25 provinces, regions, and cities in China. Cross border freight transportation has also extended to multiple ASEAN countries such as Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. In 2025, the China Vietnam freight trains will achieve "daily operation and same day delivery", sending a total of 37000 TEUs of exported goods, a year-on-year increase of 86%. Nanning International Railway Port has become the largest distribution center for railway freight exports to Vietnam in China. Service optimization drives intelligent efficiency
The railway department adopts the principle of "priority allocation, priority loading and unloading, priority inspection, and priority delivery" to ensure efficient connection between various transportation links of trains. At the same time, continuously improving the quality of freight services, customers can handle business and dynamically grasp the location of goods at any time through the 95306 online platform. Pizhou Customs provides a 24/7 appointment clearance service. In the future, with the continuous deepening of channel construction, China Vietnam trains will continue to play a role as cross-border logistics links and help promote the development of regional economic integration.Editor/Gao Xue
