On January 12, 2026, Li Guojian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CGGC, had a discussion with Bai Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager of Xinjiang Shuifa Electric Power Energy Company, in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on further strengthening practical cooperation in multiple fields such as water conservancy and hydropower, equipment research and application, new energy, and industry development.  

Li Guojian briefly introduced the reform and development overview of CGGC Company and its ongoing projects in the field of water conservancy and hydropower. He stated that the company is currently focusing on its main responsibilities and business, consolidating its core advantages in water conservancy and hydropower, empowering project construction with technological innovation, promoting the transformation and upgrading of engineering towards mechanization, less manpower, green, and digitalization, enhancing the level of intrinsic safety, comprehensively enhancing core functions, and improving core competitiveness. At present, relevant technological innovation achievements have been fully applied to key projects such as Changyang Pumped Storage Project and Yuan'an Pumped Storage Project, accumulating rich practical experience. We look forward to both parties jointly promoting the development and construction of key projects, relying on innovative technology, equipment, and construction processes to provide full cycle services for the projects and achieve win-win cooperation results.   

Bai Qiang warmly welcomed the visit of Li Guojian and his delegation, and introduced the basic situation of Xinjiang Water Development Group and Power Energy Company. He stated that power energy companies are closely focused on their main responsibilities and businesses, actively exploring diversified development paths, steadily promoting the integration of conventional hydropower resources and the development and construction of new energy in Xinjiang, and actively expanding markets outside of Xinjiang. CGGC has strong strength and outstanding advantages in the field of water conservancy and hydropower development and construction. We hope that both parties can further strengthen communication, innovate cooperation models, jointly explore markets, do a good job in the closure and closed-loop work of early-stage projects, and work together to promote high-quality development.   

At the symposium, both parties discussed the research and development of hydraulic equipment in typical projects, exchanged technological innovation paths and domestic solutions, shared practical experience in intelligent and efficient construction equipment, and explored the full process construction mode from design to construction. In addition, both parties also conducted in-depth analysis of the current development status, challenges faced, and future trends of the industry. This exchange has enabled both parties to learn from each other's experiences, build consensus, and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation.
