[The Yunnan Central Water Diversion Project has started construction] On January 23, 2026, the second phase of the Yunnan Central Water Diversion Project, with a total investment of 9.994 billion yuan, officially began construction in Anning, Kunming, Yunnan. This project is a key project for the implementation of major national strategies, mainly constructing 9 water transmission trunk lines with a total length of nearly 95 kilometers and 4 pumping stations and other facilities, aiming to connect the key water transmission channels from the first phase water source to the second phase supporting project, and play a connecting role. After the completion of the project, it will effectively cover six provinces and cities including Lijiang, Dali, and Kunming, benefiting over 11 million people.
