Recently, China National Chemical Engineering No.16 Construction and the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority of Egypt officially signed a land purchase agreement for the China National Chemical Engineering Egypt International Equipment Manufacturing Base project. The signing of this agreement marks the beginning of China Chemical Engineering's production capacity layout in the Middle East and Africa, from the early planning stage to the substantive promotion stage. It is also a concrete implementation of the consensus reached during the meeting between Egyptian President Sisi and China Chemical Engineering Chairman Modinge.
The project is located in the Suhena Industrial Zone of Egypt, which has a superior geographical location and good industrial foundation and development conditions. The project will be constructed in three phases in an orderly manner: the first phase covers an area of 100000 square meters, mainly focusing on the localization needs of Egypt's soda ash industry. By constructing relevant facilities, it is planned to form an annual production capacity of 20000 tons of steel structures and 400000 tons of prefabricated pipelines, which will help Egypt enhance its independent production capacity of soda ash industry and reduce its dependence on imports.

The second phase of construction will achieve industrial upgrading, turning the base into a chemical equipment manufacturing base, with a focus on producing pressure vessels and non-standard equipment. This not only enriches the variety of chemical equipment in Egypt, but also improves its production technology level, promoting the development of Egypt's chemical industry to a higher level. The third phase plan is more forward-looking and will expand to 30000 ton modular manufacturing, covering a total area of 200000 square meters. At the same time, a dedicated dock berth will be constructed, adopting the "district port linkage" model to achieve efficient connection between production and logistics, reduce logistics costs, and improve overall industrial efficiency.
This cooperation is a strategic choice made by Chinese and Egyptian enterprises based on common interests and development needs. I believe that with the joint efforts of both sides, the manufacturing base will be successfully built and play an important role, injecting new vitality into the production capacity cooperation and economic exchanges between China and Egypt.Editor/Cheng Liting
