Recently, a 28 meter long ultra long wind turbine steel plate was slowly lifted onto a vehicle from the finished product warehouse of Shougang Jingtang. This steel plate, which is longer than a standard basketball court, is about to be shipped from the port to Southeast Asia. When the customer's signed receipt was returned, Shougang's first overseas delivery of ultra long wind power steel was officially announced, adding a new route to the overseas territory of domestically produced medium thick plates.

28 meter ultra long steel plate breaks through the rolling limit
The maximum length of a single piece of wind power steel exported this time is 28 meters, far exceeding the production specifications of conventional medium thick plates. Customers have strict requirements for product performance and surface quality. After receiving the order, Shougang Jingtang quickly formed a special tackling team to optimize the process plan for technical difficulties such as shape control and surface quality assurance in the rolling of ultra long plates. The key process parameters were locked in the entire process, and ultimately all indicators fully met the customer's technical standards.

Linking production, sales, and transportation to overcome bottlenecks in land transportation
The land transportation from the production line to the port is the key bottleneck for this delivery. The Sales Management Department of Shougang Jingtang and the Transportation Department jointly conducted multiple rounds of on-site inspections, repeatedly deduced and optimized transportation routes and loading plans, and solved problems such as road construction detours and limited turning radii for the transportation of ultra long plates by truck one by one. At the same time, we will coordinate with the shipping company in advance and customize the use of specialized ship types with a hatch width of over 25 meters. While strictly controlling logistics costs, we will also avoid the risk of scratches and damage to the surface of the ship, achieving a dual guarantee of product quality and transportation efficiency. Expanding the new energy track and expanding Shougang's overseas territory
The successful delivery of the first ultra long wind power steel in Southeast Asia marks a breakthrough for Shougang's high-end medium and thick plates in the overseas new energy steel market. The steel used for wind turbine towers has long been dominated by European and American steel mills, and Chinese steel companies are accelerating to catch up with them with their ability to cover specifications and the synergy of the entire industry chain. The accumulation of experience in the production and transportation of ultra long plates has also laid a solid foundation for undertaking complex and efficient orders in the future, further enhancing the international market competitiveness of Shougang's fourth strategic product.Editor/Gao Xue
