China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has released an industrial development strategy codenamed "155" in Shanghai, indicating that China's commercial aerospace industry has officially entered a new stage of systematic layout. This strategy not only covers the construction of basic capabilities such as launch vehicles and satellite manufacturing, but also sets its sights on future industries such as space tourism and space resource development, attempting to reshape the industry chain ecology as a whole.

Anchor first-class, focus on five major projects

The strategy aims to build the "Five First Class" - technology, products, supply, safety, and service. Five specific projects have been deployed around this core. Among them, the Commercial Carrying Capacity Enhancement Project aims to develop reusable rockets with strong international competitiveness, with the goal of achieving 20 ton reusable capabilities in low Earth orbit and 100 ton heavy rocket insertion capabilities, and moving towards flight based transportation. The Commercial Satellite Efficiency Enhancement Project focuses on the development of new satellites and constellation construction, which will develop flat panel satellites, software defined satellites, computing power satellites, etc., and apply additive manufacturing technology to enhance production capacity. The industrial infrastructure strengthening project will focus on building complementary commercial launch sites and new workstations in Hainan, eastern coastal areas, Jiuquan and other places, and strengthen recycling and measurement capabilities. The Future Industry Development Cultivation Project plans to promote the flight based operation of suborbital and orbital space tourism during the 15th Five Year Plan period, and lay out the development and management of space resources.

Drive industrial chain collaboration with five major tasks

To achieve the above engineering goals, the strategy has synchronously planned five implementation tasks: innovative strong chain, shared common chain, global chain deployment, capital promotion chain, and alliance building chain. This means that the future development of China's commercial aerospace industry will not only rely on technological breakthroughs, but also emphasize the formation of ecological synergy through open cooperation in the industrial chain, domestic and international market linkage, financial capital support, and industrial alliance construction. As a core enterprise in the industrial chain, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation plans to promote the full chain capability enhancement and coordinated development from research and development and manufacturing to launch services, from space infrastructure to downstream applications. Embark on the era of commercial aerospace scale and popularization

The release of the "155" strategy marks a shift in China's commercial aerospace industry from a key breakthrough to systematic development. The planning of reusable rockets and heavy launch vehicles directly addresses the core challenge of large-scale, low-cost access to space; The development of diverse satellite constellations and new types of satellites aims to enhance space information service capabilities and emergency response resilience; The cultivation of future industries such as space tourism indicates that space activities are gradually expanding from traditional government led and research driven to market-oriented and mass market scenarios. This systematic layout is not only related to industrial competitiveness, but will also have a profound impact on the security of national space infrastructure and the cultivation of new economic growth points in the future.Editor/Gao Xue
