Hualong-1 is a third-generation nuclear power technology independently developed by China. At present, the mass construction of "Hualong One" has entered an accelerated stage, continuously outputting clean electricity while also leading the accelerated development of high-end equipment in the industrial chain.

At the beginning of 2026, the world's first "Hualong One" reactor, Unit 5 of Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, will undergo refueling operations in preparation for a comprehensive "medical examination". In the five years since its official commercial launch, it has not only continuously and stably delivered clean electricity exceeding 43 billion kilowatt hours, but also provided a platform for the development and stable operation of domestic equipment.

In Taicang, Jiangsu, the reporter visited Suzhou Baohua, a company on the "Hualong No.1" industrial chain. Currently, they are conducting product testing for the next generation of nuclear power technology. The product produced by this enterprise is the sealing ring used in nuclear power plants, which is a key equipment to prevent leakage in nuclear power plants. Before the 'Hualong One', everything needed to be imported. In order to solve the bottleneck problem, this small enterprise has invested tens of millions of yuan in research and development, and has overcome nearly a hundred technical challenges.

Not far from this enterprise, there is a valve manufacturing company that is also a core supplier of "Hualong One". In their workshop, various valves are produced at full capacity. Like Su Valve and Baohua, the companies involved in the supply of "Hualong One" equipment have almost extended to various fields of equipment manufacturing in China. At present, the "Hualong One" is undergoing iterative upgrades, and these enterprises are also conducting continuous innovation and research.

Currently, the mass construction of China's "Hualong One" has entered an accelerated stage. Zhejiang Cangnan is undergoing final commissioning before grid connected power generation; Unit 3 in Zhangzhou, Fujian is about to hoist the dome; Multiple "Hualong One" nuclear power units are being constructed urgently in Huizhou, Guangdong, Zhaoyuan, Shandong, and Xuwei, Jiangsu.
