Dubai City Hall has officially awarded contracts for five new projects in the second phase of the Taslif Plan, with a total value of 2.5 billion dirhams. China Construction Middle East and international companies such as DeTech Contracting have successfully won the bid and will participate in the expansion and strengthening of Dubai's rainwater drainage network.

This project covers 30 important areas with a total area of approximately 430 million square meters, and is expected to support the demand of about 3 million people by 2040. The project includes three construction contracts and two research and design contracts, with a focus on constructing a main tunnel with a maximum diameter of 4 meters, connecting communities along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Al Yaris Road to the municipal main drainage network.

The project also plans to construct an integrated drainage system of over 27 kilometers between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Jamal Road, and to build tunnels, pumping stations, and rainwater collection lakes along the Dubai Ain highway. The integrated drainage system design contract for the Almarmum and Saih Al Salam regions has also been awarded simultaneously.
