On April 10, 2026, CEEC CPECC CHINA ENERGY ENGINEERING GROUP YUNNAN ELECTRIC POWER DESIGN INSTITUTE CO., LTD. We have officially signed a technical service contract with GoldEnergy, a leading clean energy company in Myanmar, to jointly build a 2GW multi energy complementary comprehensive energy power generation base in Yangon.

Yang Hongsheng, Chairman of GoldEnergy, and Wang Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Yunnan Institute, attended the ceremony, and representatives of Chinese funded enterprises and local enterprises in Myanmar jointly witnessed it. As the first gigawatt level project participated by ENERGY CHINA YNPO in Myanmar, this move marks a comprehensive upgrade of cooperation between the two sides from a single project to "multi energy complementarity, source network load storage integration".
Building a new benchmark for energy cooperation between China and Myanmar
This project is a significant breakthrough for ENERGY CHINA YNPO in deepening its presence in the Myanmar market. GoldEnergy, the partner, is not only the largest photovoltaic power generation enterprise in Myanmar, but also a core member of the large enterprise group "Asia World Group", with significant influence in the local photovoltaic field.
In his speech, Yang Zhixuan, Director of GoldEnergy, emphasized that the company has always been committed to improving Myanmar's power infrastructure. The 2GW base covers wind power, photovoltaics, biomass power generation, and energy storage. After completion, it will greatly alleviate Yangon's power shortage, optimize the national energy structure, and create a large number of employment and technology transfer opportunities for the local area. He expects Yunnan Institute to leverage its technical talent advantages and provide high-quality consulting services.

China's wisdom to solve the power shortage dilemma
Wang Hong expressed gratitude for GoldEnergy's trust and pointed out that both parties have a strong foundation of cooperation.
