With the implementation of visa free policies between China and Uzbekistan, personnel exchanges between the two sides have become more convenient, and cultural exchanges and cooperation have become increasingly close. Starting from March 30, 2026, China Eastern Airlines will officially open a direct flight route from Shanghai to Tashkent.

This route is another important measure to further serve the high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road" and deepen the connectivity between China and Central Asia after the opening of the "Xi'an Tashkent" route in 2025. It has expanded the "air corridor" with Shanghai as the hub and facing Central Asia, injecting new momentum into economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges and tourism interaction between the two places.

The round-trip flight numbers for the "Shanghai Tashkent" route are MU6037/MU6038, with four round-trip flights per week, planned to operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The outbound flight departed from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 13:40 Beijing time and arrived at Tashkent International Airport at 18:40 local time; The return flight departs from Tashkent at 20:20 local time and returns to Shanghai at 06:15 Beijing time the next day.

At present, tickets for the "Shanghai Tashkent" route of China Eastern Airlines have been fully opened for sale.Editor/Yang Meiling
