The Shaanxi Provincial Economic and Trade Delegation of China and the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce held economic and trade consultations in Tashkent. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on manufacturing, energy, transportation infrastructure and other fields, promoting the practical stage of local industrial cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.

Manufacturing and energy become key areas of cooperation

The meeting was chaired by Cao Gongquan, the head of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Economic and Trade Cooperation, and the two sides focused on discussing the strengthening of direct cooperation between Uzbekistan enterprises and Shaanxi manufacturing enterprises. The conference involves joint projects in multiple fields such as architectural design, high-tech electrical equipment manufacturing, and transportation industry. At the same time, the Chinese delegation focuses on investment opportunities in advantageous industries such as mining and geological exploration, metallurgical industry, agricultural and industrial complexes, and food industry in Uzbekistan, demonstrating the dual layout intention of Chinese enterprises in resource-based and manufacturing based industrial chains.

China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Railway enhances interconnectivity

The construction of transportation infrastructure is regarded by the attending representatives as an important breakthrough for cooperation between the two sides. The China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway project will significantly enhance regional connectivity and create new logistics channels for industrial and trade exchanges. In addition, energy, industrial manufacturing, and the digital economy have also been included in the key cooperation agenda. Both sides have confirmed that they will further expand the scale of cooperation by promoting new joint projects and strengthening business connections.

Building a Cooperation Platform for Economic and Trade Forum

Both sides also discussed the upcoming large-scale economic and trade activities. An economic forum is planned to be held in Shaanxi Province from May 21 to 25, 2026, and is expected to become an important platform for deepening cooperation between enterprises in the two regions. Experts point out that direct business connections between entrepreneurs are an important catalyst for promoting the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects.
