Recently, the bidding results for the TJSG-3 section of the civil construction of the Xiasha Chang'an intercity railway project and the expansion project of the Chang'an Road to Hujiadou interchange on Yangshan Road in Haining City were officially announced. China Railway First Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid with a bid price of approximately 1.46 billion yuan. This move marks the official entry of the cross regional transportation supporting project into the substantive construction stage, which will further improve the layout of the transportation network between Hangzhou and Haining, and help promote the high-quality development of Hangzhou Hainan integration.

Build a half-hour transportation circle between Hangzhou and Haikou
The Xiasha to Chang'an intercity railway is an important rail transit trunk line connecting Hangzhou and Haining. The line starts from Wenhai South Road Station of Hangzhou Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 8, passes through Xiasha Higher Education Park, University City North, Haining Qiantang International New City, Industrial Park, and Chang'an Town, and ends at Chang'an Station of Hangzhou Haining Intercity. The total length is 20.8 kilometers, including 4.9 kilometers of underground section, 1.1 kilometers of U-shaped groove section, 14.6 kilometers of bridge section, and 0.2 kilometers of roadbed section. There are 7 stations along the entire line, including 3 underground stations, namely Wenhai South Road Station, Yinhai Street Station, and Outlets Station. There are also 4 elevated stations, namely Qiuchao Road Station, Landscape Avenue Station, Government Center Station, and Chang'an Station. The project will simultaneously build the Chang'an South Rolling Stock Depot, share the main substations and control centers related to the Hangzhou Haikou intercity railway, and set up dual connecting lines to achieve cross line operation with the Hangzhou Haikou intercity railway. The designed maximum speed is 120 kilometers per hour, and the estimated total investment is 9.489 billion yuan. As a key link in the Hangzhou metropolitan area rail network, the completion of the line will significantly reduce the commuting time from Xiasha in Hangzhou to Chang'an in Haining, accelerate the construction of a half-hour transportation circle, facilitate cross city travel for citizens, and strengthen Hangzhou's radiating and driving role in the Hangzhou Haikou New City.
Improve regional road network and enhance traffic capacity
The expansion project of the Yangshan Road Chang'an Road to Hujiadou interchange in Haining City, which is being implemented synchronously, has a total length of about 3.752 kilometers, including the construction and widening of bridges, various culverts, level crossings and other projects. The project is constructed according to the standard of two-way six lane first-class highway, taking into account the functions of urban roads. The design speed of different sections is 60 km/h and 80 km/h respectively. The subgrade width is divided into three categories: 49.5 m, 40 m and 37 m. The bridge load level is Highway I, and the pavement is asphalt concrete. The estimated total investment is 429 million yuan. After the completion of the project, it will significantly enhance the regional traffic capacity, improve the connection of the road network in Chang'an Town, Haining and its surrounding areas, and help promote the integrated development of transportation.
