A production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of electronic-grade glass fiber and 390 million meters of electronic fabric has captured 9% of the global market share. More importantly, it boasts completely independent intellectual property rights—from high-performance glass formulations to ultra-large energy-saving furnaces, everything was independently developed in China.

Why is this production line so crucial?
Electronic-grade glass fiber is the cornerstone of copper-clad laminate manufacturing, which in turn is the core material for printed circuit boards. In the past, high-end electronic fabric was monopolized by Japanese companies, and my country relied on imports for high-end PCB materials. Now, the commissioning of this production line will directly provide "Chinese core"-level material support for advantageous industries along the Belt and Road Initiative, such as new energy vehicles, photovoltaic power generation, and the low-altitude economy.
Zero-carbon manufacturing, a green Silk Road
Even more noteworthy is that this is the world's first zero-carbon intelligent manufacturing base in the glass fiber industry—100% green electricity supply, with supporting wind power projects reducing carbon emissions by over 400,000 tons annually. When "Made in China 2025" and "Green Development" meet on the Silk Road, we are exporting not only products, but also a Chinese solution for sustainable development.

From AI servers to high-performance computing chips, from 5G communications to the export of new energy, this production line represents a crucial leap forward in China's self-sufficiency in high-end basic materials. Just as the Belt and Road Initiative advocates—connectivity begins with the most basic raw materials.Editor/Cao Tianyi
