Recently, the 12 meter ultra large diameter earth pressure balance shield machine "Xixi" independently developed by CRCHI has officially started construction on the eastern section of the southwest drainage line in Hangzhou, marking the comprehensive entry of the project into the main excavation stage of underground tunnels.

It is understood that the geological conditions along the project route are complex, with uneven soft and hard strata, and underground pipelines and buildings need to be avoided, making construction difficult. In response to the above difficulties, the CRCHI project team has collaborated with China Railway 16th Bureau Group to carry out special optimization on the "Xixi", equipped with high-strength cutterhead and wear-resistant cutting tools, and equipped with intelligent excavation system, advanced geological prediction system, and main drive online monitoring system, significantly improving the geological adaptability and construction safety of the equipment, and promoting tunnel construction towards precision, automation, and intelligence.

During the equipment entry, assembly, and commissioning period, the CRCHI on-site service team worked closely with the project department, deeply practicing the spirit of "Red Angel" service, developing refined operation plans, and efficiently completing the assembly and commissioning work of the first stage of split start, providing a solid guarantee for the smooth start of the shield machine.Editor/Cheng Liting
