Recently, led by the Northwest Branch of State Grid Corporation of China, and jointly participated by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, North China Electric Power University, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. and other units, the innovative achievement of "Key Technologies and Demonstration Applications for Collaborative Planning and Grid Connection Support Capability Enhancement of the 'Shagehuang' New Energy Base Outward Transmission System" has passed the technical appraisal organized by the China Electricity Council.
After evaluation, questioning, and argumentation, the appraisal committee agrees that the project has passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal. The appraisal committee unanimously believes that the project achievements have been successfully applied in the power grids, new energy enterprises, and equipment production enterprises of the five provinces (autonomous regions) in Northwest China, improving the carrying capacity and grid connection support level of the "Shagehuang" new energy base in Northwest China, and overall reaching the international leading level.
It is reported that the Northwest Branch of State Grid, relying on the National Natural Science Foundation and the company's technology projects, has led the establishment of a research and development team for industry, academia, and research applications. The team focuses on the collaborative construction of multi-level grid structure in the "Shage Wilderness" new energy base, the improvement of new energy grid connection support capability, and the efficient verification of planning schemes. After 8 years of research and development, the team has built a full chain technical system of "collaborative planning method support capability improvement intelligent safety verification", forming a series of project achievements that integrate methods, technology, and equipment, and has carried out engineering demonstration applications in Xinjiang, Ningxia, and other places. The project has significantly improved the power transmission capacity of the northwest "Shagehuang" new energy base, providing technical support for the large-scale and intensive development of large-scale wind and photovoltaic power generation bases in China.Editor/Yang Meiling
