Recently, with the signing of a key agreement, the "central nervous system" of this artery has been officially activated, ushering in a new era of collaborative operation between China and Laos in power cooperation.

In Vientiane, the capital of Laos adjacent to Yunnan, an agreement regarding regional power pulse was officially signed recently. This is not just a paper document, but also the most precise brain and nerve assembly for China's first 500 kV cross-border exchange project - this "power dragon" that runs deep into northern Laos. As a heavyweight project to jointly build the "China Laos Community of Shared Future", this project has carried high hopes for deepening energy connectivity since its commissioning. The signing of the "China Laos 500 kV Interconnection Dispatch Agreement" is like establishing a common language and command rule for the two giants, marking the end of the previous connection between the two countries' power interconnection and fully entering a new stage of standardized and institutionalized collaborative operation, becoming a key milestone for the deepening and implementation of energy cooperation between the two sides.

The agreement closely revolves around the practical operation of cross-border power grid interconnection and directly targets the core link of cross-border power dispatching. It further clarifies the rights and responsibilities of all parties, improves the entire chain mechanism from daily collaboration to emergency control, and aims to build a cross-border networked dispatch and operation system with clear rights and responsibilities, efficient operation, and rapid response.

With the formal implementation and execution of the agreement terms, the cross-border security and stable operation level of the power grids in China and Laos will be systematically improved. It greatly enhances the ability of the power grid system to resist various risks and respond to complex faults, laying a solid institutional foundation for the long-term, stable, and efficient operation of this energy channel.Editor/Yang Meiling
