On May 10, 2026, Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong met with Interior Minister Rango of Balochistan Province, Pakistan.

Consul General Yang introduced the development achievements of Chinese path to modernization and the progress of China Pakistan practical cooperation, saying that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. President Zardari of Pakistan has just successfully visited Hunan and Hainan provinces of China. Bilateral relations and local cooperation face new opportunities. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the province of Balochistan, promote the deepening of cooperation between the two sides, and hope that the provincial government of Balochistan will further strengthen the safety work of Chinese personnel, institutions, and projects, effectively eliminate risks and hidden dangers, and create a good environment for the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor and practical cooperation in various fields.

Lango stated that the provincial government attaches great importance to developing cooperation with China and will take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to continuously strengthen security capacity building, optimize disposal processes, and provide solid guarantees for deepening and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.
